Frequently Asked Questions
What is a kigurumi?
Kigurumi originated in Japan and are, in the simplest terms, giant comfy adult-sized animal pajamas. They are often worn to parties, anime and furry conventions, and are perfect for just lounging around the house.
I want one! How do I order a kigurumi?
We hand make our kigus on a made-to-order basis, and each requires a price quote in order to ensure your project includes everything you're looking for. We'll periodically have openings once we're ready to take on a few more projects, so keep an eye on our website and twitter to see when we may open next. The process is usually as follows:
- Check to see if we're open for new projects or when we may open next.
- Once we're open, submit your design to our quote form to receive a price quote. We usually receive many more submissions than we have open slots for, so we usually only send out quotes to designs that we think will work best with our style!
- Accept the quote if it works for you, and the project can begin!
Can I get a quote?
If our commissions are closed, we’re usually closed for quotes. Check out our prices page for our general price range!
What are your prices?
Check out our prices page!
Do you do payment plans?
Yeah! We require a 30% non-refundable deposit at the start of your commission, with the rest paid off by the first of the month your project is scheduled to start. If you need more time, we’re flexible! Let us know and we can work something out.
What sorts of payment do you take?
Currently we only accept payment through PayPal. If you aren’t able to use PayPal, let us know!
Are you open for commissions?
Maybe! Check our website for commission availability. Don’t see what you’re looking for? Send us a message!
You're closed! When are you opening for more projects?
How old do I need to be to commission you?
For commissions, we only work with customers 18-years-old or older.
Do you take fursuit commissions?
Unfortunately we don’t currently take commissions for fursuit heads, bodysuits, or feet paws. If you’re interested in a suit from us, look out for some artist-designed suits for sale in the future!
Can I buy something shown in your gallery?
Sorry, no. All of the products shown in our gallery are one-of-a-kind custom handmade items created for each client. If there’s something specific you like about a certain product and you’d like to see that incorporated into your commission, we’ll see what we can do (within reason)!
How long will my project take?
We both work full-time jobs, so it usually takes about 1 month to complete from concept-art stage to shipping. Keep in mind that we usually have a queue so there may be a short wait before your project actually starts! We'll always be upfront and transparent with project times, and you an always view our queue here.
Do you ship internationally?
Yeah! We’re based in the USA, so any additional customs and import fees are the responsibility of the client As always, the client pays for shipping.
Will you make my kigu out of minky/cuddle fleece?
Do you use real fur in your costumes?
Nope! All of our fur is faux fur and feature no animal products what-so-ever.
Can I send you materials to use in my project?
For sure! We love it when people send in their own fur.
