Since 2024, we’ve donated 5% of our shop’s total revenue to trans mutual aid organizations, and directly to Trans people who need it*.

As of Jan 2026 our total donation amount to TCTMA + other queer projects is

$43,606

with $37,611 of that being dispersed as aid directly to individuals via Twin Cities Trans Mutual Aid.

*How’s that work?

Each month we’ll calculate 5% of the total revenue from our shop (both curlworks.net & our in-person events) and 1% of our wholesale revenue, and give that in partnership to Twin Cities Trans Mutual Aid to directly help our local Trans community.

In addition to setting aside a portion of our own sales, we also enjoy running fundraising projects and collaborating directly with organizations.

In 2025 we collaborated with Seattle’s LGBTQ+ Center and raised over $2,000. You can still snag this cute hat in our shop!

Stick Together is a collaborative washi tape collection that we put together in 2023 to help trans kids and their families struggling with anti-trans legislation in the United States. All proceeds from these tapes were donated to the Trans Youth Emergency Project.

Our talented collaborators include: Houndsaint, Camp Mustelid, STABLERCAKE, Motel 777, Jill Kittock, Dior the Artist, Dane Smith, Abbey Martin, KT Chidgey, and Alena Mcdonald.

For Pride 2024 we worked with TIGERRS (Transgender, Intersex, Gender-Expansive Revolutionary Resources & Services), our local collective that works to support our local community. We designed, sourced, and sold, and shipped the shirts, and raised over $5100.

In 2022 we designed and produced this bluebird patch raised over $1000 for The Trevor Project.

In 2023 we raised funds for Campaign for Southern Equality.
